Davenport is an Australian undergarment company that is now owned by Bendon. The company was a result of the passion and dream of Clyde Davenport, under whom Davenport industries were flourishing. Clyde Davenport began his dream project after returning from Europe, where he had spent years researching and studying about clothing industries, especially the underwear industry.

He had a vision to make it big by using his own strategies and tactics. He knew that there was a huge market for men’s underwear in Australia and that he could make a lot of money by cashing in on it. Identifying the need, he decided to come up with his own lineup of underwear to meet the demand. His idea was to present unique underwear that served the purpose with a bit of fun and humor.

In 1987, Davenport launched his underwear brand with the name Davenport. However, it wasn’t until August, 2007, that the brand made it big on an international level. After their success in Australia, the brand quickly entered new markets proving that men everywhere wanted a change in underwear.

Boxers

Davenport’s men’s underwear store has knit and woven boxers that are completely different from the kind of boxers that one finds in other men’s underwear stores. Prepared from cotton elastane (woven) and cotton poplin (knit), these are available in unique colors, such as buttercup. The knit boxers have colorful horizontal lines running across the underwear.
