About a week ago the Swiss underwear designer Rococo Dessous unveiled a line of exclusive underwear ,which is made, in part, from pure gold. The underwear in this collection features accents made from 24 carat golden threads. According to the brand, having golden underwear has been the desire of man and women since the dawn of civilization.
Apparently, the Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamen was known to have worn precious metals-embroidered linens, and such was also the desire of several rulers after him. This included the Tsars of Russia, Kings of France and the Emperors of China.
However, a pair from one of Dessous’ golden creation costs anywhere from $1,500 to $6,000, which is quite outside the underwear budget for most of humanity. The line is also currently only available for women, and it is not known if they plan on making a matching range for men.
