Fabric Options
All fabrics used in Obviously garments are custom-designed and manufactured from natural fibers which are sourced from wood pulp. The manufacturing environmental impact of both fabrics is significantly lower than regular cotton fabric.
MicroModal found on PrimeMan, EliteMan
MicroModal is manufactured from sustainably grown and harvested Beech trees, sourced where possible from European forests. The fabric has a higher gauge weave and is blended with Lycra®, resulting in an ultra-light, ultra-soft, cool stretch fabric which moves effortlessly with your body and feels sensational.
Bamboo Rayon found on EveryMan, FreeMan
Bamboo Rayon is manufactured from sustainably grown and harvested bamboo plants from China. These are not the same species of Bamboo plants which pandas eat so we do not impact on the vulnerability of these animals. The fabric is of a lower gauge weave and also blended with Lycra® resulting in a stronger and harder wearing fabric which is more moisture absorbent and cooler than regular cotton underwear fabric.
Pouch Options
AnatoMAX Spacious, natural fit (PrimeMan, EliteMan, EveryMan)
AnatoMAX is the original and largest anatomical pouch design. This is the pouch design and shape around which the Obviously brand was established. It is designed to provide you with MAXimum comfort and freedom while wearing your Obviously underwear.
AnatoFREE Snug, supportive fit (FreeMan)
The AnatoFREE pouch provides a slightly more snug and supportive fit. The pouch is based on the same design as the AnatoMAX pouch but is 2cm shallower and 1cm shorter in the front length, making it ideal for those who prefer a little more support while enjoying anatomical FREEdom.

If you are in between sizes, go a size smaller if you want a tighter fit or a size up if you want a looser fit. Take into account your body shape and style being selected. Selecting the Briefs would be a wise choice for someone with thicker, more muscular legs as opposed to the Hipster Briefs which have smaller leg openings intended for someone with slimmer legs.
Pouch sizes
The pouch size, shape and depth is the same throughout all sizes. The underwear size refers only to the waistband and the size of the garment body and has no bearing on the size of the pouch. Therefore, wearing a size smaller will result in a more fitted feeling in the pouch as the remainder of the garment is pulled tight around the body and pulls the pouch tighter as well. Similarly, wearing a size larger will result in a looser feeling in the pouch as the remainder of the garment will be looser around the body, with nothing pulling on the pouch.
Leg Length
Leg length choice is primarily about controlling movement and friction rather than overall size. It also significantly affects fit, stability, and comfort in boxer briefs.
Shorter legs (e.g. 3") offer a lighter, less restrictive feel but are more prone to riding up, particularly on the inner thigh. Longer legs (around 6") provide increased surface contact with the leg, which improves stability, reduces friction, and helps the garment remain in position throughout the day.
The PrimeMan 6" leg is designed to minimise movement and bunching during sitting, walking, and extended wear. When paired with Obviously's MicroModal fabric, it maintains breathability, softness, and structural integrity over time.
Choosing the right leg length:
- Athletic or muscular thighs: 6" leg for improved grip and reduced ride-up
- Average build: Either length works; 6" offers greater all-day stability
- Slim build or preference for minimal coverage: 3" leg for a lighter feel
- Frequent movement or long periods of sitting: 6" leg for consistent positioning
